LOADING IS A PAIN

For the past century, cartridges "bullets" have been pressed into 9MM pistol magazines one at a time, with up to 20 pounds of thumb pressure per cartridge.

Loading cartridges by hand is abusive to your fingers and thumb tendons.

This speed loader works with speed.

The entire downstroke must be very fast for the loader to work.

Load the loader

First, insert the magazine. Next, slide the sleeve open and fill the tray with ammo. Then, shift the first round into the start position and close the sleeve.

Using the loader without breaking pretty fingernails.

Position the loader

Stand the loader on a non-slip surface with the magazine on the bottom. Gently pull the handle down until it contacts the stack of ammo.

Hold the loader vertically while pushing down with two hands.

Load the magazine

Hold the handle tightly with both hands. Then, push the handle down as fast as you can. Remove your loaded magazine. Note: If you push down too slowly, it will jam.

FAQ

For notifications or questions about compatibility, please Contact Us.

What ammunition works?

Our loaders were explicitly developed for 9mm ammunition. The GK09 Glock magazine loader requires 115g ammunition, while the rest work with most 115g to 147g ammunition.

Why magazine-specific?

The Pistol Mag Loader has tighter tolerances than the gun to guide the rounds backward, square end first without contacting or damaging the feed lips or magazine.

What are OEM magazines?

Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) 9mm magazines are easily identified by the gun brand logo or MEC-GAR logo stamped on them. After-market magazines will not work.

What models are next?

We are currently designing loaders for 24 more magazines. If you have a magazine we don’t cover yet, please contact us to express an interest. We might design one on the fly.

Where are they sold?

Our loaders have been available on Amazon and the Magsmith site since January 1, 2024. Ordering from Magsmith gets you live product support often from our inventor. Other distribution ideas are welcome.

How often should we oil it?

Oil is not required but does make it easier. In the R&D process, we oiled the loader with coconut oil about once every 100-200 rounds.

Pistol Mag Loader

The 9mm cartridge has never been studied so much for its backward maneuverability as it has been for the R&D of the Pistol Mag Loader.

We're moving ammo backward faster than it's ever been done.
